So, on Tues August 2/16 I happen to be driving down Westminster Highway in Richmond, B.C. [a suburb of Vancouver] and notice activity at the Kingdom Hall at Shell Ave. Hmm, I say to myself, they must be having a 'work bee' or some such thing. I continue on to work. Oh, for anyone who isn't aware of it, Vancouver is something of a hot spot for real estate investing lately. It seems that a lot of Asian money, I mean a very, very, very lot of Asian money is coming to town and buying property up. Especially in Richmond, it's close to the airport and many spend half their time back in China after they fine a nice cozy place to live here. What was $500,000.00 five years ago is now going for 2,3 and even 4 or 5 million dollars. The locals who call Vancouver their home are getting a little bit peeved and even a whole lot peeved, well okay, totally pissed at the foreign money pushing land values through the roof. They can't buy, their kids can't buy and they know full well their grand kids will never buy either. Who can compete with buyers that bring wheelbarrows of money into the country and pay whatever the buyer asks. Oh, did I say pay whatever the buyer asks. Ooops, I got that wrong. What I meant to say is they bid against each other [ the Asians that is] and pay $200,000.00, $300,000.00, or 400,000.00 more than the asking price.

This may not have anything to do with the topic other than that she was a JW.
Gail, a 21 year old beauty. I was 21 and we were looking into each others eyes. A long look that still gives me goosebumps. What would I have told myself?
" Kiss her, you fool." Oh, we were at a circuit assembly in Saskatoon in early 70's. It may not have gone over very well at the time, but, boy, I sure would have a better memory than just a long look into her beautiful eyes.

To preach the good news of the Kingdom of God is a part of our personal ministry and worship to Jehovah. No organization directs us to preach...Teach publishers to act rationally... Perhaps they should not visit all the tenants in a row in the same building...We should also refrain from gathering in large groups and not to attract undue attention....You need to carefully weigh whether it is prudent to continue to serve in public areas...
So much for it being a personal ministry.

Where, when and with whom a person says about their beliefs is a private matter (ROM. 14:12). In addition, according to the law there is no obligation for person to report their attitude toward religion and cannot be compelled to define its attitude to religion".
Sounds like pretty good advice for anyone preparing for a judicial hearing.

"Well now at least they get a ressurection!"
by stuckinarut2 inyes, that is what a witness said after the police shootings and terrible aftermath of violence occurred this week in the usa..... they said that it now gives them a chance to live forever...as if they would not have had that opportunity if they had not been tragically killed..... of course according to witness teachings, the contradictory thing is that if the big a had come a day before, then those same people would have been killed by jehovah because they were not his worshipers.....

When someone died my wife used to say, " They are the lucky ones. At least they get a resurrection."
I never commented on such stupid statements and there were plenty.

Judge sanctions WTS - $4k per day penalty for not producing sex abuse documents
by Simon injudge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

The court orders a warrant to seize all paper files and computers from Watchtower headquarters.
26 sheriffs storm through the front door. Assistants bring in dozens of 4 wheel dollies to carry out
the files.
Three trucks with 40 foot trailers parked outside, waiting to be filled with Watchtower evidence.
That will get someone's attention. YessireeBob! That'll do it!

I didn't notice the surf board before. The Governing Body still want us to have fun.
Swim suits only for girls 8 and under. Over, full body covering.
Reminds me of a Congregation Servant, before the elders came along, one meeting asked the congregation,
" Have you ever wondered if we are going to wear clothes in the new system. We may not. We may walk around completely naked."
Half the congregation just about fell out of their chairs.

“My life right now is dedicated to helping Jehovah’s Witnesses overcome their fear of discovering the Truth is not really the whole truth and nothing but the Truth. I’m warning people such as YOURSELF, your religion is a CULT.”
I am trying to understand what you think you accomplished. Your narration certainly does not sound like you take the above statement very seriously. Sounds more like you were just playing with her.

Evolution is a Fact #38 - The Origin of Complex Cells
by cofty inin 1966 microbiologist kwang jeon was studying a population of amoebae in the lab when they began to die off unexpectedly.
he noticed thousands of tiny dots in the cytoplasm of each individual which turned out to be a bacterial infection.
most of them weakened and died but surprisingly a small percentage recovered and seemed to be back to normal.

EvolutionBy Langdon Smith (1858-1908)
When you were a tadpole and I was a fish
In the Paleozoic time,
And side by side on the ebbing tide
We sprawled through the ooze and slime,
Or skittered with many a caudal flip
Through the depths of the Cambrian fen,
My heart was rife with the joy of life,
For I loved you even then.Mindless we lived and mindless we loved
And mindless at last we died;
And deep in the rift of the Caradoc drift
We slumbered side by side.
The world turned on in the lathe of time,
The hot lands heaved amain,
Till we caught our breath from the womb of death
And crept into life again.We were amphibians, scaled and tailed,
And drab as a dead man's hand;
We coiled at ease 'neath the dripping trees
Or trailed through the mud and sand.
Croaking and blind, with our three-clawed feet
Writing a language dumb,
With never a spark in the empty dark
To hint at a life to come.Yet happy we lived and happy we loved,
And happy we died once more;
Our forms were rolled in the clinging mold
Of a Neocomian shore.
The eons came and the eons fled
And the sleep that wrapped us fast
Was riven away in a newer day
And the night of death was passed.Then light and swift through the jungle trees
We swung in our airy flights,
Or breathed in the balms of the fronded palms
In the hush of the moonless nights;
And oh! what beautiful years were there
When our hearts clung each to each;
When life was filled and our senses thrilled
In the first faint dawn of speech.Thus life by life and love by love
We passed through the cycles strange,
And breath by breath and death by death
We followed the chain of change.
Till there came a time in the law of life
When over the nursing sod
The shadows broke and the soul awoke
In a strange, dim dream of God.I was thewed like an Auroch bull
And tusked like the great cave bear;
And you, my sweet, from head to feet
Were gowned in your glorious hair.
Deep in the gloom of a fireless cave,
When the night fell o'er the plain
And the moon hung red o'er the river bed
We mumbled the bones of the slain.I flaked a flint to a cutting edge
And shaped it with brutish craft;
I broke a shank from the woodland lank
And fitted it, head and haft;
Than I hid me close to the reedy tarn,
Where the mammoth came to drink;
Through the brawn and bone I drove the stone
And slew him upon the brink.Loud I howled through the moonlit wastes,
Loud answered our kith and kin;
From west to east to the crimson feast
The clan came tramping in.
O'er joint and gristle and padded hoof
We fought and clawed and tore,
And cheek by jowl with many a growl
We talked the marvel o'er.I carved that fight on a reindeer bone
With rude and hairy hand;
I pictured his fall on the cavern wall
That men might understand.
For we lived by blood and the right of might
Ere human laws were drawn,
And the age of sin did not begin
Til our brutal tusks were gone.And that was a million years ago
In a time that no man knows;
Yet here tonight in the mellow light
We sit at Delmonico's.
Your eyes are deep as the Devon springs,
Your hair is dark as jet,
Your years are few, your life is new,
Your soul untried, and yet --Our trail is on the Kimmeridge clay
And the scarp of the Purbeck flags;
We have left our bones in the Bagshot stones
And deep in the Coralline crags;
Our love is old, our lives are old,
And death shall come amain;
Should it come today, what man may say
We shall not live again?God wrought our souls from the Tremadoc beds
And furnish’d them wings to fly;
He sowed our spawn in the world's dim dawn,
And I know that it shall not die,
Though cities have sprung above the graves
Where the crook-bone men made war
And the ox-wain creaks o'er the buried caves
Where the mummied mammoths are.Then as we linger at luncheon here
O'er many a dainty dish,
Let us drink anew to the time when you
Were a tadpole and I was a fish.
